Ripple Responsive Web Design
Challenge
Create a responsive website design for a high-end furniture store whose target market is comprised of young, urban professionals with disposable income.
Solution
Ripple, a store featuring innovative, colorful, functional and fun furniture made from recycled materials. I looked at many e-commerce furniture sites. Most looked cluttered and did not showcase the beauty of the furniture. I also didn’t see any that sold recycled furniture and thought there might be a market for furniture made from a variety of interesting materials.

My Role

Logo
The clean and simple lines of the logo echo the elegant feeling that I wanted for this e-commerce store and site. Simple yet innovative and fun.
Wireframes
I created the logo, style guide and wireframes for the site. I wanted a clean look and feel with an easy to use interface that had plenty of white space and visually emphasized the products.
Mockups
After many iterations, I streamlined and simplified my wireframes and created multiple mockups, paying attention to detail and precision within a grid. I included a newsletter for users to stay connected and social sharing buttons so customers could spread the word about these amazing products. I included a blog which is good for engaging customers and search engine optimization.
Home Page
The home page entices the customer with fun shapes and colors, and enough white space to allow the users eye to relax and enjoy their shopping experience.
Product Detail

Advertising
Both the home page and the shop page utilize ads that are not overly visually distracting and thus do not compete with the main site content.
Mobile
Ripple is responsive and user-friendly on all mobile devices.
